Bart’s Bash 2014 – World Record Achieved!

Bart’s Bash – a great success

28 sailors registered and took part in the first ever Bart’s Bash and helped raise over £180 for the Andrew ‘Bart’ Simpson Foundation

The event took place On Sunday 21st September with 20 boats making the start line for the first race in light Easterly winds. Because of the number of registrants the club’s is eligible to post its results to the main Barts Besh website and be counted as taking part for the Guniness World Record of the largest sailing race Ever!!
Sailors of all ages and skills took part in boats ranging from toppers and terras to Solos, GP14’s and a small fleet of lasers.
Thanks must go to every one who took part and donated with a big thank you to Jade Wood who helped organise the day on behalf of the club.

Check your diary for 2015 when the next Bart’s Bash will be taking place on Sundays 20th September. lets see if we can beat this years number of entries and amount raised.
